St Patrick's Week
We've a short week ahead here at Glendermott.
On Wednesday the children can come to school dressed in green for St Patrick's Day, some of our Irish dancers might want to come into school on Wednesday and give us a little demonstration!
We are asking that each child donates £2 to the Disasters Emergency Committee to help the people who are fleeing conflict in Ukraine. Donations can be made via ParentMail or by sending in money in a sealed envelope.
Unfortunately this last week has seen a rise in sickness in the school, the number of Covid cases has risen and also a stomach bug that is impacting some classes.
If your child is displaying any symptoms it is advisable to keep them at home and if necessary book a PCR test- look out for headaches, sore throats and nausea.
If your child tests positive it's important to let school know as soon as possible. If testing positive the day of the test is day zero, children can return to school with a negative test on day 5 and day 6- tests must be taken 24 hours apart.
School finishes at 3pm on Wednesday, there is no after school provision on Wednesday.
Please note change in dinner menu
Tuesday
Roast dinner
Banana cake and custard
Wednesday
Sausage, chips, and beans
Shamrock Biscuit and Green custard
Here's hoping we can get everyone safely through to the St Patrick's Day break. Take care and God bless.
