The Primary 1's took part in Outdoor Classroom Day and completed some maths activities.
They practised their skills of recognising numbers by searching for hidden numbers. Once they recognised the number, they then matched an amount of outdoor materials to their number.
The Primary 1's were also able to sort themselves into a 'human bar chart’ to compare the different months of the year, to see which month had the most class birthdays. The children were able to see that June and December were the months with the most birthdays.
They had great fun and enjoyed learning outside.
