Last week Primary 7 travelled to Celtic Park for a 'Fan the Flame' celebration, attended by hundreds of children from all over the dioscese. Having made our Confirmation this year, we came together with Bishop Donal and local clergy to celebrate Mass; delight in the gifts we have been given by the Holy Spirit; and to learn how to use these gifts to help us on our new path and on our new adventure! Bishop Donal talked to us about following our own path, offering up our highs and our lows to God and asking him to keep us wise and weary of the world, but to act with love in our hearts. We made flame flags to wave and we designed out own t-shirts with symbols and our chosen names to commemorate the occasion! All of our children were extremely well-behaved and we had a lovely morning! Tian, Frayea and Eimear took part in the opening ceremony, where they proudly displayed Glendermott School's banner for all to see.
